DAEFLE

The DAEFLE (Certificate of competency to teach French as a foreign language) is a higher or continuing education distance course. It is meant for anyone preparing to teach or already teaching French to non-French speakers, whether in France or abroad.

This professionally oriented course leads to a diploma and is the result of a partnership between the Alliance française Paris Ile-de-France and the Centre National d’Enseignement à Distance (CNED - National Centre for Distance Learning). You can thus attend this course wherever you are.

To better serve you, the Alliance Française de Kuala Lumpur gives you the opportunity to sit the DAEFLE final exams in Kuala Lumpur.

Access Test

To register to the full course, you first need to pass the access test which is done online exclusively.

The access tests are organized by the Alliance Française de Paris. For more information, consult the dedicated pages of the Alliance Française de Paris website.

Final Test

The Alliance Française de Kuala Lumpur is an examination centre for the DAEFLE final exam.

There is one available date for the final test: June 3 and 4 (registration before May 7). The registration deadline can be found on the DAEFLE registration form.

The registration fee for the test is RM400 for a 1.5-hour exam and RM450 for a 2-hour exam. If only one candidate is registered for a specific session, an additional fee of RM20 per exam will be required at the end of the registration period for that session.

You must register at the Alliance Française de Kuala Lumpur (procedures detailed below) and provide:

the completed registration form
a copy of the notification of attendance for the 6-module course
a copy of your ID card or passport
payment of the registration fee (payment page)

Shortly before the examination, you will receive an email with your examination notification. The test will take place at the Alliance Française de Kuala Lumpur, 15 Lorong Gurney.

Registration procedure

You can register in person, with all the necessary documents, in our Lorong Gurney. You can pay by cash, cheque and credit or debit card.

You can also register by email by scanning all your documents to exams@afkualalumpur.org , along with a proof of successful bank transfer. The transaction number must be visible on the receipt or screen copy of successful transfer. Failing to do so, payment will be ignored until proof is sent to us.
